Back On The Fitness Wagon

Well, I'm back at this. Not back, like I stopped working out, ballooned up, and whatnot, but back as in that I'm going to be more consistent. It's not just that I have my friend's Vegas birthday trip coming up in May, but I also have my 30th birthday (that's right, 30!) in July. I just want to be a better me, going into my 30s.

So, with that said, I'm jump starting this round with 21 Day Fix. I'm trying to be more conscious of what I'm eating since that's my biggest obstacle. I will workout and do all I can, but what's the point when I eat like crap. So 21 Day Fix with the containers for portion control might be the way to start for me. And that's starting today. Well the eating part is; the workout part of the program starts tomorrow. I'm also going to try and be more faithful in using MyFitnessPal to just double check that my calories are in order for my portions as well.

On top of the 21 Day Fix, I'm adding in Erin Stern's Elite Body 4-Week Fitness Trainer. I want to add more to my jump start since I love doing weights now. The plan adds some high intensity cardio, which I know I need and have come to tolerate (I use to love it, but now I'm almost anti-cardio lol) and adds the weights that I have come to love.

Now for my goals. First up - my short-term goal: Lose at least 5 pounds and/or lose 3 inches overall in a month. I gave myself that and/or goal since I know that losing inches doesn't always mean losing pounds, which I'm okay with. I know that from past experience, I weighed almost the same I do now as I did last July but I'm a smaller size now than I was so I don't want to get discouraged by just focusing on the number on the scale.

As for my long-term goals: I want to lower my body fat percentage to 18%. So I have another 2, 3% to go! I'm going to give myself till July13 to get to that goal or near to it. I know it'll be hard. And to get there, I need to lose another 10, 15, 20 pounds. I know, I really need to be mindful of what I eat. Like I really need to be on top of it. The pounds aren't what I'm going to be focusing on if my measurements are going the right way and my body is looking toned.
