Into Week 2 of T25

Well I'm into week 2 of Focus T25 and I have to admit, I have been bad. I have not been following the schedule. And it's usually due to the same reason many others have - I'm too busy, too tired, or just plain too lazy. I have been working out and not being completely inactive. I did do a few of the T25: Alpha phase workouts; I have to say my favorites so far have been the lower body and Speed 1.0. I love the lower body because I love the burn I feel from it and that's with using Tania as the modifier. And Speed 1.0, doing some of the punches and kicks, makes me feel all bad ass and want to keep kicking and punching, even if the little kicks are after a burpee. I am trying to double it on some days to make up for some of the days I missed so we'll see how it goes.

Also, I partook in what was suppose to be a kickboxing/boxing class Saturday at my gym to get my workout on on my one day off. It wasn't really a kickboxing class; it was more of a bootcamp! And I have to say it was awesome. Even if it did take place after a chest and tri's day. I love that burn lol. And because I feel like I need more work on my butt, I added in Brazilian Butt Lift's High & Tight to my weekly rotation. I was only able to get about 10 minutes in - with a band - and it was enough to make me feel it the next day.

I've been forgetful with my supplements lately, which is sad. The only thing I really remember to take is protein after some workout. And I might have found an "energy drink" that I like and it could be my pre-workout drink. It's called Zipfizz. I found it on one of my forays into Sam's Club; I originally went in there for bottles of water and protein bars and I left with like salad and other things to set me up for success this week, but no protein bars (more on why in a bit).

Anyways, I took it this morning to see what it would be like as an energy drink and it was really awesome. I felt awake and alert without feeling too cracked out. And I didn't get a sudden crash after a few hours. Now, I need to try it before a workout to see how it'll be like when I workout and see if I should invest in another pre-workout drink. I'll let you know how that goes.

As for the protein bars, I'm on the lookout for a good one, not just any one, to either be post gym or to just be something to eat on the go. I'm getting tired of my granola bars, as delicious as they are. And I'm trying to be conscious on not just the amount of protein in the bar, but also the carbohydrates, calories in a serving, as well as sugars in a protein bar. After reading this article, I so need to consider more factors. It is a bit overwhelming, but when in doubt, I try and use my Fooducate app to help me evaluate other aspects of thing. Anyone have a good one to try? I'll try other places and read some more on it.

I'll check in again sometime. Hopefully some time tomorrow morning, I'll remember to do measurements.
