Starting My 5K Training
Well, today was the first day of my couch to 5k (C25K) goal. I don't think I'll make it for the Color Me Radd run in a few weeks, but I can train for the next 5K I want to attempt to run in April.
Lately, I've been derailed in my fitness with trying to balance school, work, catching some sleep, and trying to fit in a workout. So while October 1st is the start of my next round of Combat, I'm just going to try and fit in some workouts here and there while doing my C25K days. I also need to incorporate some weight training routines. I know that'd super help. Hopefully I can find someone to help with that. Most of the time, when it's left to me, I will get a bad case of gym ADD and intimidation lol.
I also need to get my eating better. With all my studying and being on the go, I find that I will nosh and eat whenever and whatever I can to fit my current lifestyle. Also, with all my sleep deprivation, I find that I just have more and more Starbucks and energy drinks. Horrible, I know, but it's so needed for me to function some days. I need to find other alternatives which would super help with the sugar and empty calorie intake. I know I need more water, which would help as well. I find that on my extra shifts, I lack the water intake I usually try and get.
I know I feel like I've slipped back into my old ways, but I need to get back on track. I have like a little over a month till my goal's deadline. And since it's so close, I've re-evaluated my goal. My goal was to lose 10 pounds, but I think right now, all I want is to not be fatter than I am now. I just want to be the same or a size smaller. I'll try and do measurements tomorrow in the AM before work and try and post them. I gotta find a way to be held accountable, no matter how horrifyingly large they are lol.
