Day 55: 5 More days!!!
It's been a while since I've been on here. It's been a hectic few days for me. I'm leaving the current place I'm working and going to another unit. I'll still be with the same company but the change is messing with my schedule. And so I'll be working a full week straight :( Since the uncertainty with work and training my replacement, I have been bad; I haven't worked out as much as I should have going into my last week. I am about 7 workouts behind.
In an attempt to try and finish the Challenge on time, I'm going to double up on my workouts some days. Like I'll pair Combat 45 with plyo and/or power. I know I can do it now with my noticeable change in stamina and endurance. Like I've done a Combat 60 with Plyo and I was fine. Given, the next day, my legs and butt were feeling the workout, but it was awesome! I love the workouts when I get them in. I'm finding that I am actually getting to like Combat 60 Live. It's not my favorite but I like now. My favorite part is the capoeira sequence. It kills my legs and butt while I'm doing it, but it's fantastic.
On the food front, I haven't been as good either. Given, I've gotten better than I was before. I'm actually eating. And quite a bit that I now don't have problems reaching my 1200, 1300 calorie daily goal. I just don't always eat so clean. I know if I do better on the diet front I can lose more weight. Right now, I've been at a steady 131 pounds. And I have been for the last three weeks. I'm taking that as a win since I didn't gain weight and I'm still like 20 pounds lighter than I was at the beginning of the year lol. And all I can do is try to do better tomorrow and the next and just keep going.
I'm sad that this first round of Combat is coming to an end, but also excited. I know what I can do when I apply myself. I need to make eating better and working out a priority. I think I'm going to try Combat again in the future. And I'm going to try and do it all the way through as plan. I tried it this time and I fell behind but I didn't give up as I've done in the past so I'm taking that as a win as well.
Things to think about: what my next Challenge will be. Do I want another round of Combat (which wouldn't be bad and I know the learning curve won't be too bad since I know the workouts)? Or do I want to wait and get T25 or Insanity (I do love Shaun T)? Or maybe P90X (I haven't given Tony Horton a try yet and he'd be a change)? Or maybe (sticking with the kicks and punches) I should be going with some Chalene Johnson and doing Turbo Jam? I gotta think on things lol. Too many choices! What do any of you think?
Oh also, new motivation, a girl fight sequence: Gina Carano (who is one of my newest girl crushes - Loved her since Haywire lol) and Michelle Rodriguez's fight sequence from Fast & Furious 6! Real women fight like this! Enjoy that lil clip!
Realizing, that while watching this clip, it's no wonder why I signed up for Jab Fitness gym. My friend talks about his boxing class. I so need to take his boxing class, as well as kickboxing class. And I think I'd even try some Muay Thai. I've always been interested in the classes like that, but never felt the confidence to go. While I am still scared about it and feel like I'd be crap, I'm still willing to go.
I think my first day is going to be as early as Tuesday. Or I'd go as late as Thursday, when my official Beachbody challenge is done. If what my friends go through is what I'm going to go through, then I know I'll be tired and won't be able to double up my workouts and finish on time.
